From September 14–16, 2025, the OGME partners met once again, this time in Sofia, Bulgaria, hosted by the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov”.
The meeting brought together educators, researchers, and project partners from Italy, Türkiye, Romania, and Bulgaria, all united by a shared goal: to advance inclusive music education for young people with autism.
What we worked on
Throughout the meeting, partners collaborated on key milestones of the project:
- Reviewing the OGME Guide on good practice techniques in music education for young people with autism.
- Sharing updates on the upcoming digital platform, where teachers, families, and professionals will soon find the guide, training videos, and interactive resources.
- Discussing the development of the OGME digital game, a playful and accessible tool designed to help children with autism explore rhythm, sound, and creativity.
- Strengthening collaboration between all partners and planning the next steps to ensure that OGME continues to make a meaningful difference in classrooms and communities across Europe.
A meeting full of ideas and inspiration
Beyond presentations and planning sessions, the Sofia meeting was a true moment of exchange of experiences, ideas, and motivation. Partners shared how music has already started to open new doors for inclusion and communication in their local contexts.
